Save the Children

Save the Children

Save the Children believes every child deserves a future. In the UK and around the world, we give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. We do whatever it takes for children – every day and in times of crisis – transforming their lives and the future we share. Much of this life-changing work is funded by the generosity of people leaving gifts in wills.

Writing or updating your will through Will Aid is a great way to get the peace of mind that comes with having an expert write your will – whilst also supporting Save the Children and eight other Will Aid charity partners. After providing for your loved ones, you may also wish to include a gift in your will to Save the Children. A gift of any size will help ensure that vulnerable children, wherever they are, have the chance to survive, learn and be safe, and that you will be remembered in a child’s smile.

For more information about remembering children around the world with a gift in your will, please contact a member of our experienced Gifts in Wills team on 020 7012 6400 or email us at [email protected].

Just one person’s legacy can be hundreds of smiling children…

Alice knows only too well the challenges facing pregnant women in Liberia; without adequate pre- and post-natal care their children’s and their own chances of survival are dangerously low. She has known new-born children to die simply from inadequate medical supplies or difficulty reaching them in remote communities.

However, since Save the Children funded a new clinic in Alice’s community, they have seen hundreds of safe and happy new arrivals. And whilst every child is unique, many of them have one very special thing in common… their namesake. Having been cared for by Alice, these women thank her in a very special way! There are now over 800 Alices in the local area – all named after the midwife who changed theirs and their mothers’ lives…

Since 1990, child mortality has almost halved, but still each year almost 3 million babies die in their first month of life. With your help we can continue to change this – and a gift in your will could help fund another life-changing project with Save the Children, making sure that no child dies of a preventable disease or condition.

Just like Alice, your legacy could be a child’s smile. By leaving a gift in your will to Save the Children, you too can help thousands of children in the years to come.
